Kalbelia is a folk dance form that originated from Rajasthan from a tribe with the same name - Kalbelia. Traditionally the tribe's occupation is catching snakes and trading snake venom. The dancers thus twirl and use serpent like movements in their dance. Their costumes and ornaments are very detailed and beautiful.  

The doll in the photo is 11" in size. 

The features and details on the dolls vary according to the sizes, the bigger the size the better the detailing.
