Eco-conscious

We greatly uphold the values of recycling and upcycling at Artefakt. The medium we work with to make our art pieces is paper-mache. Two main ingredients of which are old newspapers and natural gum (obtained from trees). 

For making the dolls' costumes we try to use good quality sarees from our wardrobes and that of our extended family too. Though we also have to depend on buying certain new fabrics to create the needed aesthetic. 

We use shredded newspaper to the extent possible as filling for packaging while shipping. 

While we are not perfect, can assure you that we are constantly striving to adopt best practices environmentally. We really do care for the planet, our only home.
