Yakshagana is a traditional theatre form, originating from Karnataka. The artists wear elaborate costumes and make up. The performances are traditionally held from dusk to dawn and the audience is kept captivated by the stories of Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavata and other Hindu and Jain traditions.
